Aid Stations & WATER POINTS

WATER POINTS

Water Points are manned points with shade and cold hydration fluids for runners to replenish their hydration reserves. All Water Points are also Checkpoints.

  • Coke/Energy drink (no cups)

AID STATIONS

Aid Stations are food and drink stations along the route where athletes can sit down to rest and enjoy a variety of foods and hydration products. All Aid Stations are also Checkpoints. Certain Aid Stations will have a cut-off time for each event. When the cut-off time is reached no runners, other than the sweeper team, will continue past the Aid Station. A vehicle will repatriate runners who do not make the cut-off time from the Aid Station back to the Race Village.

SPECTATOR & SUPPORTER POINTS

Aid Stations that are accessible to the public and have a supporters area where runners may receive support from an appointed assistant in the form of replenishing nutrition and hydration supplies, a change of apparel or shoes and a massage. All Spectator and Supporter Points will have a cut-off time for each event. When the cut-off time is reached no runners, other than the sweeper team, will continue past the Aid Station. A vehicle will repatriate runners who do not make the cut-off time from the Aid Station back to the Race Village.

NANTES DAM CROSSING

Nantes Dam Crossing is a floating bridge across Nantes Dam linking the pipe track and offering an exciting spectacle for runners of The ROCK 44 and THE ROCK ULTRA 100 races. Nantes Dam crossing will also be a Checkpoint with a cut-off time for each race.

There will be a marshal stationed at the Nantes Dam Crossing who may at his own discretion close the crossing for safety reasons. In this case, an alternative route will be followed to Meulwater Camp Aid station, from where the route will resume the same.
